‘Mahanati’ is one of the best movies made in the Telugu film industry. The producers of ‘Mahanati’ have also produced ‘Sita Ramam’, which is set for release tomorrow (August 5). Starring Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur, this period love story is directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and produced by Swapna Dutt.
Interestingly, there are a couple of links to Mahanati. Dulquer Salmaan played Gemini Ganeshan in ‘Mahanati’. Similarly, Samantha played the narrator of the film which has Keerthy Suresh as the titular character.
Like Samantha, Rashmika Mandanna is playing a sutradhar kind of role in ‘Sita Ramam’. She played Afreen, a Muslim girl. Her thread is key to the movie.
She reportedly paid a bomb for this role. The makers have done extensive promotions and the film has generated a lot of buzz so far.
