Samantha is in consideration for two big films!

Samantha Ruth Prabhu had earlier stated that she would soon begin work on a film produced under her own banner. However, there have been no updates on that project since her statement two months ago. Recently, she has been making headlines more for her rumored relationship with filmmaker Raj Nidimoru than for her film career.

Now, reports in the media and on social media suggest that two filmmakers are considering her for major upcoming projects.

Sources say director Lokesh Kanagaraj is planning to introduce a prominent female character into his Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU) with “Kaithi 2,” the sequel to his 2019 blockbuster Kaithi.

The original featured only Karthi in the lead with no female presence, but the sequel is expected to include a strong female role. And Samantha is reportedly among the top contenders.

There is also buzz that director Buchi Babu is considering casting Samantha in a special song for his film “Peddi”, aiming to recreate the magic of her chartbuster “Oo Antava Mava” from Pushpa: The Rise. Since that viral hit, Samantha has not appeared in any item song.

However, Samantha has not officially signed either Kaithi 2 or Peddi. It is worth noting that earlier speculation linking her to Atlee’s upcoming film with Allu Arjun turned out to be false. Whether she will bag one—or both—of these projects remains to be seen.
