Samantha is not doing Savitri's role?
It was Telugucinema.com that first broke the news that Samantha was in talks with director Nag Ashwin of ‘Yevade Subramanyam’ fame for his biopic movie. He approached her for the lead role in his next movie which is biopic of ‘Savitri’, the great actress of 50’s and 60’s.
Well the news has turned out to be true but only with a small difference. Samantha is not playing the title role. She will play a role in the movie that can be said narrator. The story of ‘Savitri’ is to be told through the character of Samantha.
Now the director is in talks with couple of actresses for the role of Savitri and we hear Nithya Menon is the front runner for it.
