Venkatesh had starred in numerous films as a man torn between two women, a wife and a lover. He returned to the same genre with “Sankranthiki Vasthunam,” but there’s an ‘ex’ factor.
Today, superstar Mahesh Babu revealed the film’s trailer.
The plot revolves around the kidnapping of a powerful man, an occurrence that, if publicized, could lead to the government’s downfall. To tackle this dilemma, the government consults with an expert who can handle the situation.
Enter Venkatesh, an ex-cop living a blissful life with his ‘wonderful’ wife (Aishwarya Rajesh). When Meenakshi Chaudhary, Venkatesh’s ex-girlfriend, contacts him for assistance in solving the kidnapping case, chaos ensues.
Anil Ravipudi, the director, has combined family drama and a crime perspective, as well as his trademark comedy. The trailer concludes with the line, “Whenever Venkatesh came up with a story with a family background, he scored victory.”
Shirish produces and Dil Raju introduces the film. “Sankranthiki Vasthunam” is scheduled for publication on January 14th, 2025.
