Save Nallamala: Vijay D and other stars appreciate T Govt's stand
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today declared that the state government would not permit Uranium mining in Nallamala forest region. The exploration by the Union Ministry is currently being done by the permission given way back in 2009. “But we will not permit the mining,” CM KCR said in assembly.
For the past few days, celebrities have been tweeting and raising their voice against Uranium mining in Nallamala. Several Tollywood celebrities took participation on social media creating a buzz. Among the Tollywood stars it was Vijay Deverakonda who vociferously raised the slogans against the mining. Mahesh Babu, Sai Dharam Tej, Varun Tej, Anasuya, Samantha, and other stars also tweeted later. Vijay even stepped out in talking to the mainstream media raising his objections.
With state government making its stand clear, Tollywood is now relieved that their voice has been heard.
