The casting for the Telugu remake of ‘Andhadhun’ is still underway. The makers are facing a challenge to convince senior actresses to play the role that was originally essayed by Tabu in the Bollywood movie.
Tabu played the role of this negative character with great ease. The Telugu version stars Nithin as the hero and is being directed by Merlapaka Gandhi. Produced by Nithin’s home banner, the makers had earlier approached Tabu, Anasuya, and Ramya Krishna but they have turned down the offers for various reasons.
And finally, the role has now been offered to Shriya Saran. Responding to the news reports, Shriya said she has not yet signed the movie. She said she would love to do the film but the pandemic crisis is what worries her.
She is currently staying in Barcelona with her husband. Spain has been one of the most-affected countries by COVID19.
