Shruti Haasan to play a journalist

Actress Shruti Haasan’s career got a new lease of life with the success of Ravi Teja starrer ‘Krack’. She played a police officer turned homemaker in the film. Now, she will be playing the role of a political journalist for director Prashanth Neel’s ‘Salaar’.

Shruti Haasan has been cast opposite Prabhas in this film. Prabhas is seen as a person who takes on some powerful men of the mining industry. 

Her role is said to be modeled on a famous TV journalist. ‘Salaar’ has already completed two schedules.

Scheduled to hit the screens next year, ‘Salaar’ marks the Telugu debut of Kannada director Prashanth Neel, who shot to fame with ‘KGF’.
