Singer Kalpana quashes rumors about her husband in a video
Playback singer Kalpana Raghavendar has addressed the swirling rumors regarding her personal life and recent hospitalization. In a video message, she refuted rumors of a potential suicide attempt and elucidated the sequence of events.
Kalpana explained that she had consumed sleeping pills after experiencing severe stress following a disagreement with her daughter over academic matters.
She also asked the media not to spread false news about her husband.
“I am standing before you today because of my husband’s timely response, the support of our colony residents, and the quick action of the police,” she said in the video.
“I want to reassure everyone that I will be back soon to entertain you with my music. My husband has been my pillar of strength, and I consider him the greatest gift of my life.”
