Singer KK dies after concert in Kolkota

Popular singer Krishnakumar Kunnath better known as KK passed away. He died in the early hours today. He collapsed at a hotel after he returned from a concert in Kolkota. Doctors said the singer was brought dead.

KK was 53.

KK shot to fame as a film singer with the song “Tadap Tadap” in “Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam”. He ruled the Indian film music industry for many years with hits like “Ankhon Mein Teri” (Om Shanti), “Khuda Jane” (Bachna Ae Haseeno), and “Tu Hi Meri Shab Hai” (Gangster), etc.

He was equally proficient in Telugu. He crooned many hit numbers such as “Hello Doctor” (Prema Desam), “Ye Meri Jaha” (Kushi), “Evarineppudu” (Manasantha Nuvve), “Nee Kosame” (Nuvvu Nenu), “My Heart is Beating” (Jasla), “Cheliya Cheliya” (Yevadu), etc.

KK also sang songs in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, Assamese, and Marathi languages.
