Sir a.k.a. Vaathi, a Tamil-Telugu bilingual film Venky Atluri wrote and directed, has had a strong start at the box office.The film garnered positive reception. The team celebrated the good opening it had on the first day.

“Sir” starred Dhanush and Samyuktha Menon. Dhanush’s performance and the film’s message are getting good reviews.
“The feedback has been fantastic. I’m glad people have noticed my efforts to explore something new,” Venky said.
A delighted S Naga Vamsi, the film’s producer, said, “I related with the story because my parents too had to sell a piece of land to get me a seat in an engineering college. In the Telugu states, the film is running to packed theaters.”
