Journalist-turned-producer SKN is known for his hyperactive and sometimes over-the-top promotional style. While his unconventional methods have brought him visibility and success, they have also drawn criticism.

At the teaser launch event of Prabhas’s “The Raja Saab,” SKN courted controversy once again. This time for making inappropriate remarks and wearing a T-shirt with the caption “#Jathini,” a slang term derived from a vulgar expletive commonly used by some fan groups, he made it to the headlines.

Adding to the outrage, he made a distasteful comment claiming that “only wives know the stamina of their husband,” which many found crude and unnecessary.

Such antics, intended to provoke fan reactions and generate online buzz, highlight a worrying trend where a section of Tollywood celebrities appear increasingly addicted to publicity—regardless of whether it’s positive or negative.

What’s more troubling is the growing number of journalists and influencers amplifying this behavior instead of calling it out. Thankfully, a large section of netizens has criticized SKN for his attention-seeking tactics, reminding the industry of the need for decorum and respect in public discourse.
