With ‘Karthikeya 2′, Nikhil Siddharth achieved his first pan-Indian success. However, his subsequent film ’18 Pages’ bombed miserably. Luckily, he avoided releasing the film in Hindi.

He is currently promoting ‘Spy’ as a pan-Indian film, believing that the film’s theme of Netaji Subash Chandrabose’s death will resonate with the North Indian audience.

He is still very nervous about this film.

According to our sources, the theme of the death of Netaji Subash Chandrabose was not considered when the film was created. It was only added after the success of “Karthikeya 2” across India. As a result, he desired more time to better edit the film and reshoot some sequences. However, the producer denied him the opportunity to postpone the film.

The film is getting released in a hurried manner on June 29th. Hence, Nikhil Siddharth is under stress. If this film fails to succeed on a pan-Indian scale, the interest in his subsequent films will suffer. That is his worry.
