Srimanthudu: Court sends notices to makers

Writer Sharath Chandra has been alleging that the story of ‘Srimanthudu’ was copied from his novel. He said that the story of this film is based on his novel Chachentha Prema, which was published in Swathi magazine in 2012.

City Civil Court in Hyderabad has taken up Sharath Chandra’s case and sent notices to director Kortala Siva and the producers of this film. The third additional judge Singareddy had issued notices to the makers. Senior lawyers V R Machavaram and Pavani Sivakumar had taken up the case of Sharat Chandra.

The writer has also requested the Court to stay the remake of this film in Hindi, which will star Hrithik Roshan. Notice has also been sent to actor Hrithik Roshan. This case will be heard on 4th March.
