Produced by Elred Kumar under the RS Infotainment banner and directed by Mathimaran Pugazhendhi, “Mandaadi” is set against the backdrop of a rarely explored coastal sport and delves into the lives, struggles, and resilience of fishing communities. A significant portion of the film was shot along the shores of Ramanathapuram, requiring a large-scale production effort.
The makers have now officially announced that the film will release worldwide on September 4.
Soori headlines the film. Another major highlight is Suhas, who makes his Tamil cinema debut with the film. Playing a character with antagonist shades, Suhas underwent a notable transformation and dedicated nearly 100 shooting days to the project.
Mahima Nambiar plays the female lead, while Sathyaraj, Ravindra Vijay, Mithun, and Bala Saravanan are seen in pivotal roles.
The newly released release-date poster has grabbed attention. It features Soori and Suhas standing face-to-face on a rocky shoreline during sunset.
