Despite struggling with financial burdens that arose after the monumental failures of “Liger” and “Double iSmart,” veteran director-producer Puri Jagannadh has been able to set a new project that is bound to be a big pan-Indian project. As everyone is aware, Puri Jagannadh and Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi recently announced a film collaboration.
Now, Puri Jagannadh is working on finalizing the other main lead cast.
This time, he is reportedly enlisting actors renowned for their performances rather than their glamour and star appeal. Hence, he is trying to cast Tabu, a globally known popular veteran actress.
Tabu, who hails from Hyderabad, has also been looking to make a comeback to Telugu cinema. She last appeared in Trivikram’s “Ala Vaikuntapurramloo,” where she played Allu Arjun’s mother. If his efforts fructify, Tabu might step in on this project for a key role.
The untitled film will be bankrolled on the Puri Connects banner by Puri Jagannadh and Charmme.
