Thangalaan, written and directed by Pa. Ranjith and starring Vikram, has received critical acclaim. The film performed well at the box office. Interestingly, it received more collections after the first weekend as word of mouth spread.
The film is now on track to earn Rs. 100 crores globally.
“Thangalaan” grossed Vikram’s career-high opening day worldwide of over Rs. 26 crores. Despite competition from numerous fresh releases in its second week, the film is keeping steady at the box office in Tamil Nadu. In the Andhra-Telangana region, the total number of screens climbed by 141 in its second week.
The film will release in North India on August 30th. Produced by Studio Green’s K. E. Gnanavelraja, ‘Thangalaan’ features spellbinding performances from Chiyaan Vikram, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan, and Pasupathy.
