Toxic Teaser row: Beatriz Taufenbach goes off Instagram

Beatriz Taufenbach, the Brazilian model and actress who went viral after featuring in a bold cemetery sequence with Yash in the teaser of “Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups,” has reportedly deactivated her Instagram account amid growing backlash.
Released on January 8, the Toxic teaser instantly grabbed attention for its striking visuals and an intimate moment between Yash and Beatriz Taufenbach. The brief scene not only set social media buzzing but also triggered widespread curiosity about the actress, with intense online speculation surrounding her identity.
However, the scene also drew sharp criticism from certain social activists and political groups, who labelled it “obscene” and “morally offensive.” Complaints were subsequently filed with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), seeking action against the makers of “Toxic” for allegedly promoting inappropriate content without adequate age warnings.
One such complaint was lodged by activist Dinesh Kallahalli, who urged the CBFC to review the teaser and ensure stricter certification norms, citing concerns over minors being exposed to the visuals.
