Trisha Krishnan recently received overwhelming support from people from all walks of life in the Mansoor Ali Khan controversy. Mansoor Ali Khan’s sexist remarks about her were widely condemned. But she got herself into a lot of trouble when she praised a movie.
Trisha praised the recently released “Animal” on Instagram. She claimed the film is a cult classic. “One Word – Cult,” she said. She received a lot of backlash after posting this on Instagram. She was chastised for her poor taste and was asked how she could like a film with so many problematic sequences that are as offensive as Mansoor Ali Khan’s sexist remarks.
She later removed the post.
“Animal,” directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, became a huge success. The film grossed a massive amount in its first weekend worldwide. It made more than $6 million in the United States.
However, many scenes in the film received backlash from critics.
