Kannada superstar Upendra is no stranger to Telugu cinema. He has played lead roles as well as important characters in several Telugu films. Now, after a brief hiatus, he makes his return to Tollywood.
Upendra has joined the Hyderabad schedule of “Andhra King Taluka,” which stars Ram Pothineni in the lead. The film is directed by Mahesh Babu P and produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner.
In the film, Upendra plays a movie star named Surya Kumar. The story revolves around fan culture, with Ram Pothineni portraying a devoted fan of Surya Kumar.
Bhagyashri Borse has been cast as the female lead opposite Ram. The music is composed by the Tamil duo Vivek–Mervin.
