Harish Shankar’s much-anticipated film “Ustaad Bhagat Singh,” starring Pawan Kalyan and Sreeleela, is likely to be shelved. According to insiders, Pawan Kalyan will not be resuming work on this police drama due to his role as Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
Meanwhile, “Hari Hara Veera Mallu” is set to hit theaters on May 9. Pawan Kalyan still has to complete the remaining portions of Sujeeth’s gangster drama “OG,” which, if everything goes as planned, is expected to release by the end of this year.
Once these two films are out, Pawan Kalyan is unlikely to take up new film projects for a while.
Only ten days of work was done regarding “Ustaad Bhagat Singh,” indicating minimal progress on the project.
Industry sources suggest that instead of keeping the project indefinitely on hold, shelving it altogether may be the more practical decision—an idea Pawan Kalyan is reportedly leaning toward.

Director Harish Shankar remains hopeful about reviving the project, but those familiar with Pawan Kalyan’s political career and work patterns believe the film will not move forward.
“Ustaad Bhagat Singh” is based on Atlee’s Tamil film “Their” and is produced by Mythri Movie Makers. Sreeleela had also participated in the shoot for a few days.
