The Telugu box office is gearing up for an exciting summer as “Ustaad Bhagat Singh” marks the beginning of a packed release calendar. Starring Pawan Kalyan, the film is set for a grand theatrical release tomorrow (March 19), effectively kicking off the 2026 summer movie season.

Following this, April is expected to witness a rush of Telugu releases, many of them mounted as pan-Indian projects targeting wider audiences.

First in line is “Biker,”s starring Sharwanand. Slated for release on April 3, the racing drama is primarily aimed at Telugu audiences but has already generated decent buzz. With its youthful theme and high-speed action backdrop, the film is expected to connect well with younger viewers.

On April 10, the pan-Indian film “Dacoit” will hit theaters. Featuring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur in lead roles, the film blends romance with action and is said to have a unique narrative style. Given Sesh’s strong track record and the success of Major across languages, expectations are high for this project, especially in Hindi and Telugu markets.

The month concludes with the biggest release of the season — Peddi, starring Ram Charan. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film is scheduled for premieres on April 29, followed by a wide release on April 30. With strong buzz generated by its songs and teaser, and a star-studded cast including Janhvi Kapoor, Jagapathi Babu, Shiva Rajkumar, and Divyenndu Sharma, this film is expected to dominate the summer box office.

Meanwhile, Swayambhu, starring Nikhil Siddhartha, is also in the pipeline. Although promotions have begun, the makers are yet to announce an official release date.

Overall, with multiple high-profile releases lined up, the Telugu film industry is set for competitive summer season at the box office.
