Venkatesh – Kalyan Ram multi-starrer: Rayalaseema backdrop!

The much-awaited collaboration between Venkatesh Daggubati, Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, and director Anil Ravipudi is all set to move into production.

After a grand pooja ceremony earlier this week, the makers have announced that regular shooting will commence from tomorrow (June 22) in Hyderabad. The update was delivered through a quirky promotional video in Anil Ravipudi’s trademark style.

Known for turning routine announcements into entertaining promotional events, Anil Ravipudi once again infused humor into the video. It begins with the director jokingly recalling how fans often praise his promotional creativity and even honored him with a ceremonial sword and turban.

The fun segment takes an amusing turn when Venkatesh playfully uses the sword to make a tiny cut on Anil Ravipudi’s thumb and applies a Veera Tilakam. Kalyan Ram, followed by leading ladies Keerthy Suresh and Krithi Shetty, along with music composer G. V. Prakash Kumar, join in the ritual, symbolically marking the beginning of the film’s journey.

More importantly, the video confirms that the story is set against the backdrop of Rayalaseema. While the region forms the setting, the makers emphasized that the film will be a full-fledged entertainer packed with Anil Ravipudi’s trademark humor and commercial elements.

Tentatively referred to as #VenkyAnil5 and #NKRAR2, the film is being produced by Sahu Garapati under the Shine Screens banner, with Suresh Productions, Smt. Archana, and Zee Studios presenting the project. The project is slated for a Sankranthi 2027 release.
