The news that leading comedian Vennela Kishore had signed Shankar’s magnum opus, Indian 2, went viral. The film, which stars Kamal Haasan in the titular role, is one of the most anticipated biggies in Indian cinema.
Getting a role in Shankar’s film is a huge accomplishment for most actors. So we were surprised to read the internet buzz about his inclusion in the cast of ‘Indian 2’ as a villain.
When asked Vennela Kishore, he laughed it off. His manager stated the same thing. He didn’t sign Shankar’s film, leave alone playing a negative role.
He replied to an internet user, “Neither Indian 2 nor Pakistan 3,” in his witty style.
