Vijay Deverakonda better be careful now!
Vijay Deverakonda has attained charming stardom in no time. ‘Pelli Choopulu’ was a cool sleeper hit in 2016. ‘Arjun Reddy’ was a cult classic in 2017. ‘Geetha Govindam’ was a ‘masala’ blockbuster this year. He can’t ask for more. But we want to ask more from him! He should exhibit better command in picking scripts. This is the feeling of everybody ever since the release of ‘NOTA’ on Oct 5. The way the story is narrated, it gives the sense that Deverakonda was improper to take the project up.
Deverakonda stated after the release of ‘GG’ that he is not sure if he will be accepted in the kind of roles he is doing in his upcoming films. His roles in ‘NOTA’, ‘Taxiwala’ and ‘Dear Comrade’ are very different from what we have seen of him.
As Chiranjeevi told him recently, this is the time when Deverakonda should exercise extra caution in choosing scripts. He should go up the ladder and committing blunders will cost him dearly. There is no hurry either, he should go slow a bit and continue his great work.
