Vijay Deverakonda’s ‘Kingdom’ to vacate May 30 slot?

With the tensions between India and Pakistan reaching a high and there being a possibility of war, confusion prevails even in the film industry. Many in the Indian film industry believe this is not the right time to release high-profile or mid-range movies given the volatile situation.

Hence, there is talk that Vijay Deverakonda’s “Kingdom” will not arrive on May 30th and will change its date. The makers are tight-lipped about this and are waiting for clarity to emerge.

But our sources say “Kingdom” might vacate the slot and opt for a later date, after seeing the situation until next week.

“Kingdom” is a much-awaited movie directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. The film has Bhagyashri Borse as the heroine. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music. Sithara Entertainments is producing the film.

On the other hand, Vijay Deverakonda is all set to begin the work on his next two films—VD14, directed by Rahul Sankritiyan, and SVC59, directed by Ravi Kiran Kola for Dil Raju’s banner.
