Vijay Sethupathi begins shooting for Mani Ratnam’s next in Kolkata
Vijay Sethupathi has teamed up with director Mani Ratnam as the lead hero for the first time. Sai Pallavi stars opposite him in the yet-to-be-titled romantic drama.
The team has now arrived in Kolkata to begin the film’s first shooting schedule.
Vijay Sethupathi will sport a clean-shaven, youthful look in the film. Touted to be a mature romance, the film will be shot across multiple locations, including Kolkata, Puducherry and Visakhapatnam.
The makers are planning to complete the entire shoot within 60 days to keep the budget under control. The project is being jointly produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions.
Mani Ratnam is looking to bounce back after the box-office failure of his previous film, Thug Life, making this project an important one in his career.
