The makers chose not to make the suggested cuts, leading to a legal battle.
With the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections approaching, the film’s release was put on hold, as it can only hit theaters after the election process concludes and necessary approvals are secured.
In an unfortunate turn of events, several scenes from the film have now been leaked online. Reports suggest that these clips are being widely circulated on WhatsApp and other platforms. A film getting leaked even before its official release is both shocking and concerning.
The situation brings back memories of the leak incident involving “Attarintiki Daredi,” starring Pawan Kalyan. However, that film managed to turn things around with an immediate theatrical release and went on to become a blockbuster. In contrast, “Jana Nayagan” currently faces a more complicated scenario due to its legal and political hurdles.
With Vijay actively campaigning for his political party, the leak has added to the film’s challenges.
