Speculations were rife that VV Vinayak has backed out of the remake of the ‘Lucifer’ project. Reports said Vinayak is planning an original movie with another hero as Chiranjeevi still needs to complete two movies.
The Telugu remake of ‘Lucifer’ starring Chiranjeevi was planned in the direction of Sujith. The ‘Saaho’ director has written a screenplay in his style, which didn’t impress Chiranjeevi.
Then the project has been handed over to VV Vinayak, who successfully remade two Tamil movies with the megastar (‘Tagore’ and ‘Khaidi No 150). But sources close to Vinayak inform us that he has not backed out of this project.
He is currently in discussions with his team of writers to make necessary changes to the Malayalam hit ‘Lucifer’ to suit the image of Chiranjeevi. The film will hit the floors in the second half of 2021.
