Vishwaksen announces his third directorial: Cult

Vishwaksen is moving ahead with confidence despite the recent failure of “Funky,” which released last week and underperformed at the box office.

Unfazed by the setback, Vishwaksen has announced his third directorial venture titled “Cult.” After helming “Falaknuma Das” and “Das Ka Dhamki,” where he also played the lead, he is now stepping into darker territory.

He unveiled a sinister first-look poster of “Cult,” introducing what is being described as Telugu cinema’s first slasher villain: a terrifying character named Jee Boom Baa, portrayed as a deadly teddy bear.

The film features Gayatri Bharadwaj and Yagnya Turlapati as the female leads, with Tarak Ponnappa playing the antagonist. Music is composed by Ravi Basrur. The makers promise Telugu cinema’s most violent teaser on February 21.

Apart from directing “Cult,” Vishwaksen is also acting in “E2E,” directed by Tharun Bhascker.
