Senior star Nagarjuna Akkineni has stepped away from lead roles following the release of “Naa Saami Ranga.” Over the past two years, he hasn’t appeared in any film as the main hero. However, he will soon be seen in two upcoming releases where he plays significant supporting roles.
In “Kuberaa,” starring Dhanush and directed by Sekhar Kammula, Nagarjuna takes on a crucial role. He is also part of the ensemble cast in Rajinikanth’s “Coolie,” where his character is expected to be a treat for fans.
Reportedly impressed by Nagarjuna’s easygoing demeanor, Rajinikanth has suggested that he take on another key role in “Jailer 2.” The buzz is that director Nelson Dilipkumar has offered Nagarjuna a role with negative shades.
But the question remains: will Nagarjuna agree to play a villain? If he accepts such roles, it might signal the end of his journey as a lead hero.
