Makers announce date for ‘Akhanda 2: Thaandavam’

Nandamuri Balakrishna and Boyapati Sreenu’s highly anticipated fourth collaboration, Akhanda 2: Thaandavam, is in the final stages of post-production. Mounted on a grand scale by producers Raam Achanta and Gopichand Achanta under the 14 Reels Plus banner, and presented by M. Tejaswini Nandamuri, the sequel has already generated massive buzz with its teaser, sending fans into a frenzy.

On the auspicious Dasara festival today, the makers have now officially announced the release date. “Akhanda 2: Thaandavam” will hit theaters on December 5, 2025.

The release date poster showcases Balakrishna in a fierce and divine avatar: sporting long hair, a rugged beard, sacred beads, and jewelry. He’s seen wielding an intricately designed massive trident, dressed in traditional saffron and brown robes that heighten the mythic tone. The snowy, vibrant backdrop and his powerful stance further amplify the scale and intensity of the character.

Boyapati Sreenu is reportedly crafting a larger-than-life spectacle on an even more expansive canvas than the first film. Thaman is expected to elevate the film with a thunderous background score, delivering the signature high-octane rush fans expect. B

The film stars Samyuktha as the female lead, with Aadhi Pinisetty in a powerful role and Harshali Malhotra in a key character.
