Dude: Makers request optimal audio levels in theaters

It’s common for filmmakers to specify audio settings for horror films to enhance the scare factor. However, such requests are rare for love or family dramas. Breaking that norm, the team behind “Dude” has issued a special advisory to theaters regarding sound levels.

Believing that the film’s impact heavily relies on its sound design and music by Sai Abhyankkar, the production house Mythri Movie Makers has requested all theaters to maintain the audio processor level at a minimum of 5.5 for screenings.

“To ensure a great cinematic experience, we request that the Audio Processor Level for all screenings be maintained at a minimum value of 5.5,” the makers stated.

Though “Dude” marks Sai Abhyankkar’s debut as a film composer, he has already earned recognition in Tamil Nadu through his independent music releases. He wants audiences to fully experience the vibe of his background score at optimal volume.

Featuring Pradeep Ranganathan, Mamitha Baiju, and Neha Shetty, “Dude” is a love drama directed by debutant Keerthiswaran and is set to hit theaters tomorrow.
