The announcement of “OG 2”, the sequel to the blockbuster “OG”, came as a pleasant surprise to fans and industry circles alike. At a time when speculation was rife about Pawan Kalyan potentially stepping away from acting to focus entirely on politics, the sudden tease from Pawan Kalyan Creative Works sparked excitement.
The latest buzz suggests that director Sujeeth may prioritize “OG 2” ahead of his previously planned project with Nani, titled “Bloody Romeo”.
According to industry reports, the project could be launched as early as November 2026 if an upcoming meeting between Pawan Kalyan and Sujeeth goes as planned and the actor-politician agrees to allocate dates sooner than expected. In that scenario, Sujeeth would immediately begin the film’s pre-production work. However, if Pawan Kalyan prefers to take up the project next year, Sujeeth is likely to complete Nani’s film first.
A clearer picture is expected to emerge in the coming weeks.
It also remains to be seen whether DVV Danayya, who produced the original “OG”, will bankroll the sequel as well, or if another production house will come on board. Music director Thaman is expected to continue with the franchise, while several key cast members from the first installment are likely to return.
