Akhanda 2 to arrive in theaters next week?

There is still no clarity on the release of “Akhanda 2.” The discussions held to resolve the issues have not reached a full conclusion yet. Top producers have been holding marathon meetings since the night of December 4 and a few financial matters were resolved, but more issues still need attention.
For now, one thing looks certain. The film will only arrive in theaters either next week or two weeks later.
Producers Raam Achanta and Gopi Achanta have left the final decision to Nandamuri Balakrishna and Dil Raju regarding the release date.
Dil Raju, who acquired the film’s Nizam rights, has already settled some of the dues. He is currently in talks with Balakrishna’s representatives to complete the remaining settlements and finalize the date.
Akhanda 2, directed by Boyapati Sreenu, first ran into trouble when Eros International demanded clearance of their financial dues. Later, local financiers also sought repayment before release. The total outstanding amount turned out to be so high that it could not be cleared immediately, causing this delay.
All issues are expected to be closed by tomorrow. The team will then decide on a release date after reviewing theater availability in India and the USA.
