Is Prabhas’s Fauji release in December really possible?

Speculation surrounding Prabhas’s “Fauji” refuses to die down. The period action drama, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, has been in production for over two years, with its release date remaining a topic of constant discussion.
The latest buzz on social media suggests that an overseas distributor has been informally told to prepare for premiere shows on December 3, indicating a possible December 4, 2026 release.
Industry sources say Prabhas is keen on releasing “Fauji” in 2026 itself, as he has already lined up “Spirit” for 2027 and “Kalki 2” for 2028. However, the bigger question is whether the film can realistically meet that timeline.
According to insiders, nearly 100 days of shooting are still pending. That leaves director Hanu Raghavapudi with the challenging task of wrapping up a substantial portion of the production over the next few months, while also ensuring sufficient time for post-production work.
Given the scale of the film, completing the remaining shoot and finishing post-production in time for a December release appears to be a tall order. As of now, uncertainty continues to surround the film’s release plans.
