Suriya’s Vishwanath and Sons: Makers dismiss postponement speculations

Reports suggesting another postponement for “Vishwanath and Sons” have been put to rest. The Tamil-Telugu bilingual starring Suriya is very much on track for its planned theatrical release on August 14.
While the film is yet to generate significant hype, the trade remains optimistic, largely due to director Venky Atluri’s impressive track record of delivering successful films with non-Telugu stars such as Dhanush and Dulquer Salmaan.
Adding to the positive sentiment, Suriya recently scored a strong comeback in Tamil cinema with “Karuppu,” which emerged as a major box-office success.
Co-starring Mamitha Baiju, “Vishwanath and Sons” had released a teaser and a song before going quiet on the promotional front. The prolonged silence sparked speculation that the film had been postponed once again, especially since producer Naga Vamsi has previously rescheduled several of his productions. The film itself had already been delayed once, making the rumors appear believable.
However, the makers have now ended all speculation by announcing that the film’s next single will be released on July 25.
Along with the song announcement, they reaffirmed that “Vishwanath and Sons” will arrive in theatres on August 14, effectively dismissing all postponement reports.
