Amitabh Bachchan dismisses health rumours triggered by blog post
Veteran Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan has put an end to speculation surrounding his health after a recent blog post led fans to believe he had undergone surgery and was admitted to the ICU.
The 83-year-old actor clarified that his post had been widely misunderstood.
The confusion began after Bachchan wrote, “…in Hospital in a surgery and in the ICU, under the care of proficient Doctors and medical Staff… a discharge… and a homecoming…” He also added, “This homecoming period is the most difficult phase… physically, psychologically and practically…”
Many fans interpreted the post as a personal health update, triggering concern across social media.
However, Bachchan later explained that he was not referring to himself. According to the actor, the post was about the Argentinian football team’s defeat to Spain in the recently concluded FIFA World Cup final, and not about his own health.
On the professional front, Amitabh Bachchan recently completed filming for Nag Ashwin’s “Kalki 2” in Hyderabad. He reprises his role as the immortal Ashwatthama in the sequel to the blockbuster “Kalki 2898 AD.”
