Venkat K Narayana confirms Jana Nayagan inspired by Bhagavanth Kesari

Producer Venkat K Narayana has confirmed that “Jana Nayakudu” (titled “Jana Nayagan” in Tamil), the final film of Tamil superstar-turned-Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay, is inspired by Balakrishna’s “Bhagavanth Kesari.” The film is set to hit theaters on July 23.
Speaking to the Telugu media ahead of the release, Venkat K Narayana clarified that the film is not a remake but borrows its basic inspiration from Anil Ravipudi’s blockbuster.
“Bhagavanth Kesari is a film that both Vijay sir and I deeply admire. We only took inspiration from it and even discussed the idea with Anil Ravipudi garu. Jana Nayagan is an entirely new story with a fresh world and a new conflict. I’m sure it will offer a fresh cinematic experience while connecting emotionally with the audience,” he said.
Venkat K Narayana also spoke about his production house’s Telugu debut with Megastar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film, directed by Bobby.
“I’ve admired Chiranjeevi garu since childhood. His films, journey, songs, and the messages in his cinema have always inspired me. I wanted my first Telugu production to be with him, and I’m delighted that it’s finally happening. Mega158 is shaping up beautifully,” he added.
