Actress Mirchi Madhavi, known for her supporting roles in several Telugu films including “100% Love” and “Mirchi”, recently opened up about a shocking experience of sexual harassment from earlier in her career.
In a candid interview with Swapna, she revealed that a film team once approached her with a degrading demand in exchange for a role.
According to Madhavi, a representative from a film project contacted her after watching her performance in “100% Love” and praised her acting. However, he then insisted she must “give a commitment” to five people if she wanted to be selected for the role.
In other words, she was asked to sleep with five male members of the team.
She firmly rejected the proposal and stated that she chose the film industry purely for her passion for acting, not at the cost of her dignity. Madhavi added that she has thankfully not encountered such situations again in her career.
