Champion Trailer: Roshan Meka leads a revolt

The trailer of “Champion” is out, marking the official debut of Roshan Meka as a full-fledged lead actor. While Roshan earlier appeared as a teenage hero in films like Pelli SandaD, “Champion” is his first film as a grown-up adult. He is the son of popular actor Srikanth.
Directed by Pradeep Advaitham, Champion is set in the Telangana region during the Nizam rule and is based around the historic 1948 Bhairanpally village revolt. The story chronicles the uprising of villagers against the Razakars, the private militia of the Nizam rulers.
Roshan Meka is introduced as a well-educated youngster with a passion for football. The trailer traces his transformation and how circumstances push him to join the revolt alongside the villagers of Bhairanpally. The visuals highlight the intense period setting, showcasing clashes against the Razakars and the British forces.
A period drama rooted in Telangana’s freedom struggle, “Champion” also marks the Telugu debut of Malayalam actress Anaswara Rajan. The technical crew includes music director Mickey J Meyer, cinematographer Madhie, and production designer Thota Tharani.
“Champion” is produced by Priyanka Dutt, GK Mohan, and Gemini Kiran, and is scheduled for release on December 25, 2025.
