Shruti Haasan begins shooting for item song in Peddi

Breaking the usual norm of no shoots on Sundays, the team of “Peddi” kickstarted filming for a special song today in Hyderabad, with Shruti Haasan joining the sets.

Shruti Haasan is set to perform a high-energy special number for the film, with music composed by A. R. Rahman. The choreography is being handled by Jani Master. The shoot is currently taking place on a specially constructed set near Janwada, Hyderabad.

This project also marks Shruti Haasan’s reunion with Ram Charan after “Yevadu,” and only her second special song appearance in Telugu cinema. Reports suggest she has been paid a hefty remuneration for this performance.

Alongside Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, the film features a strong supporting cast including Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyenndu. The film is slated for a June release.
