Krish begins filming youthful road drama in the North East

Director Krish Jagarlamudi appears to be returning to the storytelling space that first brought him recognition. The filmmaker made a strong impression with “Gamyam”, the 2008 road drama starring Allari Naresh and Sharwanand. Nearly two decades later, he is said to be exploring a similar theme with his latest project.
According to sources, Krish has commenced work on a coming-of-age drama that revolves around the inner and outer journeys of a group of youngsters. The film is being extensively shot across the picturesque North Eastern states of India, with filming already underway.
The project features an entirely fresh cast, with several newcomers making their acting debut. Krish is reportedly focusing on discovering young talent and crafting a story that resonates with the current generation of audiences.
The director is hoping for a strong comeback with this film after facing a difficult phase in his career. His recent ventures, including “Kondapolam” and “Ghaati”, failed to make an impact at the box office. He also exited “Hari Hara Veera Mallu” midway through production, and the film eventually underperformed upon release.
With a series of setbacks behind him, Krish is now banking on this youthful travel drama to reconnect with audiences and regain his winning touch.
