Rukmini Vasanth chooses multi-heroine films despite rising demand
Rukmini Vasanth has emerged as one of the most sought-after actresses following the pan-India success of Kantara 2. The actress quickly landed a high-profile role opposite NTR in “Dragon,” directed by Prashanth Neel.
Besides “Dragon,” she is also part of Yash’s “Toxic,” which features an ensemble female cast including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, and Tara Sutaria. While “Dragon” has Rukmini as the sole female lead, “Toxic” is a multi-heroine project.
Interestingly, despite being in demand as a leading lady, Rukmini appears comfortable taking up films with multiple prominent female characters. Instead of limiting herself to conventional solo-heroine roles, she seems to be choosing projects that offer strong characters, even in ensemble casts.
The latest buzz suggests that Rukmini has signed another such film. She is reportedly set to join “Dharman,” Rajinikanth’s upcoming film directed by Ashwath Marimuthu. Simran is said to be playing Rajinikanth’s wife, while Raashi Khanna has an important role. Rukmini Vasanth is now reportedly coming on board to play another key character in the film.
An official announcement regarding her casting is still awaited.
