Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna’s starrer “Chhaava” astounded everyone with its stunning box office performance. The period drama, which explores the greatness and bravery of Sambhaji Maharaaj, resonated deeply with audiences across India. The film quickly joined the Rs 500 crore club.
At one time, the film seemed to become the all-time highest-grossing Hindi movie ever in India. Trade pundits expected that it would easily beat the record of “Pushpa 2,” which collected approximately Rs 750 crore for its Hindi version in India.
“Chhaava,” on the other hand, is still running in theaters. On Holi day (March 14), it set an all-time record for Indian film. It also created a record for the fifth weekend. However, its total collection, limited to the Hindi version, stands at Rs 530 Cr.
To break the record of “Pushpa 2,” it needs to collect an additional Rs 200 crore in India, a task that appears to be quite challenging. As of now, it might not achieve the record of “Pushpa 2,” but the makers are confident of emerging as the all-time highest-grossing Hindi film ever in India.
Both films—Pushpa 2 and Chhaava”—featured Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead.
