Samantha’s comeback film, “Maa Inti Bangaaram”, has achieved a major milestone by crossing the coveted $2 million mark at the North American box office. Released on June 19, the film has become the first female-led Telugu film to enter the exclusive $2 million club.

Before its release, trade analysts expected the film to finish its entire theatrical run at around $1 million. Instead, “Maa Inti Bangaaram” reached that figure within just four days and continued its impressive run over the following weeks. Despite slowing down in its later stages, the film maintained steady collections and eventually crossed the $2 million milestone.

Directed by Nandini Reddy, “Maa Inti Bangaaram” features Samantha as a newly married woman visiting her husband’s ancestral home for the first time. When secrets from her past resurface, she is forced to rely on the combat skills she acquired in her previous profession to protect herself and her family. The film blends family drama with action in a unique setting.

While some viewers felt the second half could have been stronger, the film’s emotional core and Samantha’s performance resonated with audiences. The positive word of mouth translated into a remarkable box office run, giving Samantha a much-needed blockbuster as she returned to a lead role after a three-year gap.

On the personal front, Samantha is expecting her first child with her husband, Raj Nidimoru, who also wrote and co-produced “Maa Inti Bangaaram.”
