Ram Charan has returned to the box office in emphatic fashion. Peddi has registered a sensational opening, grossing more than Rs 100 crore worldwide on its first day.
Trade estimates indicate that the sports drama collected over Rs 80 crore gross in India on Day 1. The Telugu states accounted for the lion’s share, including premiere-show collections. Strong occupancies across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana drove the impressive numbers, while Karnataka and other Indian markets added to the tally.
The film also posted outstanding results overseas. North America emerged as the biggest contributor among international territories. The film has collected $1.9 million on Day 1 including premiere shows. This alone is Rs 18.1 Cr gross. The Australia and other regions also collected big amount.
Much of the opening-day success was built on an exceptional premiere performance.
The result also comes at a crucial time, helping Ram Charan bounce back strongly after the underwhelming theatrical run of “Game Changer.”
