‘Radhe Shyam’ saw a huge dent in collections after the negative word-of-mouth and poor ratings from critics. All leading websites and critics have panned the film with an aggregate rating of 2 to 2.5.

Bollywood critic Anupama Chopra in her review wrote that “the lazy writing undermined the grandiose visual.” Popular critic Sangeetha Devi Dundoo of ‘The Hindu’ summed the film: “A shallow story and lacklustre screenplay make Pooja Hegde and Prabhas’ ‘Radhe Shyam’ a colossal bore.”
