Dhurandhar 2 beats Kalki 2898 AD lifetime in North America

“Dhurandhar 2” is on a record-breaking spree in North America and is now inching towards the $20 million milestone. The film has already emerged as the highest-grossing Indian movie in its first week in the region.
On its second Friday, the film collected nearly $1.3 million, taking its nine-day cumulative total to $19.3 million. With this, “Dhurandhar 2” has gone past the lifetime gross of Prabhas’s “Kalki 2898 AD” in North America.
The film is now set to become the highest-grossing Indian film ever in North America by the end of this weekend. Currently, it holds the third position, with the second spot occupied by the first part, Dhurandhar.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, this espionage thriller with a strong patriotic backdrop has been setting benchmarks both in India and overseas. Despite skipping a release in Gulf countries, the film has amassed an impressive $31 million from overseas markets, with a dominant $19 million contribution coming from North America alone.
