“Baby” surprised everyone, from filmmakers to trade pundits, with big numbers by the end of its first weekend. The film’s first-day box office was massive, but the second and third days were even bigger. The worldwide three-day collection is more than Rs 20 crore (gross), which is enormous for a low-budget love story starring upcoming actors like Anand Deverakonda, Viraj, and Vaishnavi Chaitanya.
“Baby,” directed by Sai Rajesh and produced by SKN, was a hit with audiences because the love story is filled with both entertaining and emotional scenes. While some critics thought the second half was too long and the climax was too easy, audiences liked them.
“Baby” performed better in two markets than the others: Telangana and the United States. The film earned approximately Rs 3.90 crore in Nizam (Telangana). It made more than $300k (Rs 2.70 crore gross) in the United States. Even mid-level heroes will struggle to meet these targets.
Producer SKN and director Sai Rajesh must be overjoyed at the success of their film. They claimed before the release that they had a winner on their hands, and the results proved the same. By the first weekend, the distributors had made a profit.
