Nandamuri Taraka Ratna: A distinct record in his career

Actor Nandamuri Taraka Ratna passed away on Saturday while receiving treatment in a hospital in Bengaluru.

Nandamuri Taraka Ratna made his acting debut in ‘Okato Number Kurraadu’ as the hero. He had a distinct record on his name. In 2003, nine films with him as the hero were launched on the same day. His film’s launch received a lot of attention.

‘Okato Number Kurraadu,’ the first of the nine films released, was directed by veteran filmmaker A Kodanda Ramireddy.

The son of Nandamuri Mohana Krishna and the grandson of legendary actor and politician N. T. Rama Rao, Taraka Ratna was born on 22 February 1983 in Hyderabad. His uncle is Nandamuri Balakrishna, and his cousins are Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and NTR.

Despite the fact that his first film was a musical hit and MM Keeravani won an award, it did not perform well at the box office. His career did not take off after the failures of ‘Yuva Rathna’, ‘Taarak’, and ‘Bhadradri Ramudu’. He made his name and received a Nandi Award for his negative role in Allari Ravi Babu’s ‘Amaravathi’ (2009).

He also had a negative role in the film “Raja Cheyyi Vesthe” (2016). He recently starred in the Hotstar Web Series “9 Hours” (2022).
